I Have the best Evil Twin

About 45 minutes before the end of the Evil Twin's day at work yesterday, I decided to call him and see if he could skip out early by any chance and come home.

He had some deadline things he was working on and couldn't spare taking the extra few minutes off. So, I said, "Okay, I'll see you when you get home."

I guessed he sensed something in my voice, because he asked, "Is there anything wrong?" and I said "No, I'm just tired." No big deal, ya know. I'm often tired. I work through it and keep going.

We hung up and I started doing something else. But, just a few moments later, the phone rang. I could tell by the caller ID that it was his number - so I answered.

He said, "Hey, why don't I pick up dinner on my way home so you won't have to cook. It'll be easier for you."

How sweet is that?

I had dinner planned - Carribean Jerk Chicken, which was marinating and all I needed to do was throw the pieces of chicken on foil and chuck it in the oven. I was going to go to a whole bunch of other trouble to open a can of corn and heat that up. Whew! It was obviously not a complicated meal.... but it could keep one more day.

He said he would call before he left to find out what we wanted.

I guess we're having chicken tonight. :-)

He really is a thoughtful guy and he's always looking out for me. I don't deserve him.

  4. Yay for not having to cook! Quite a nice gesture. So when's dinner? I probably can't make it if it's before 8:00 or so... Oh well maybe next time :)

  8. Pretty cool. But, never say (internally or aloud) that you don't deserve him. You do. AND, he's good to you. Awesome, no matter how you slice it!

    Happy Friday!

  11. An Amish woman and her daughter were riding in an old buggy one cold blustery day. The daughter said to her mother, 'My hands are freezing cold.' The mother replied, 'Put them between your legs. Your body heat will warm them up.' The daughter did, and her hands warmed up.

The next day, the daughter was riding with her boyfriend who said, 'My hands are freezing cold.' The girl replied, 'Put them between my legs. The warmth of my body will warm them up.' He did and warmed his hands.

The following day, the boyfriend was again in the buggy with the daughter. He said, 'My nose is cold.' The girl replied, 'Put it between my legs. The warmth of my body will warm it up.' He did and warmed his nose.

The next day the boyfriend was again driving the daughter, and he said, 'My penis is frozen solid.' The following day the daughter was driving in the buggy with her mother again, and she says to her Mother, 'Have you ever heard of a penis?'

Concerned the mother said, 'Why, yes, Why do you ask?' The daughter replies, They make one hell of a mess when they defrost, don't they?
