The Week That Wouldn't End

This week(and we're only half way into it)has been a real beyotch. Ever since school started, I have had one obligation after the next.

Not being able to catch up makes a certain ETW very grouchy and anxious. Those two things are such a constant in my life, I really just do not need extra.

Currently, I have a load of stuff in the dryer and a load in the washer. The beds are made and I smell of bleach because I'm multitasking and cleaning the bathrooms, too (yes, I DO wash my hands frequently between tasks).

I haven't had time to get a shower. Yet, I have sewing to do and dishes to put away (and then reload).

When I took Sissy to the pediatrician's yesterday, I was asked at the front desk if I was her "guardian". I replied, "No, I'm her mother. I gave birth to her and she's mine." Why do people think I'm her grandmother? I mean, I don't leave the house if I don't have at least a bit of make-up on and my hair looking decent. Talk about a blow the ego....I seriously don't think I look that old. Or - maybe I AM old and have some sort of dementia where my reality is skewed?

I must get back to my chores. They won't do themselves, ya know? And, seeing as how this is the only full day of freedom I have, I want to get as much as possible moved over to the "finished" stack.

I hope all my hooligans have a lovely Wednesday.

Love,

  2. You don't look old in the least! Maybe if you still have the purple in your hair they thought you were too young to be her mom?

  3. I think it's just WV. People here seem to have no concept of how old others are.
