A Lazy Day

It's almost 10AM and I haven't done a damn thing. Well, I've had coffee and a few glasses of water and choked down my morning pills (one multivitamin, one baby aspirin, one Buspar and one Ativan - I'm a nervous bert, y'all).

And no, I don't chew the baby aspirin - don't you even read this thing? I've already stated that I hate orange flavored things. I even hate the cherry flavored baby aspirin. Plus, I've read studies that state if you are on aspirin therapy, it's not good to chew them because over time, it will ruin the enamel on your teeth. My teeth need all the help they can get. I'm glamorous that way.

The Evil Twin is off work today and will be working on freelance work. I think I'll take the opportunity to flit off to WalMart by myself and leave the kids here at home.

I'd like to lose 10 pounds by October 30th. Any suggestions? I've already started doing evening exercise ball sit ups and stuff.

Time for a shower... Have a happy Columbus day, everyone! If nothing else, be glad the mail doesn't run today. No mail means no bills. :-)

  1. I am so sorry about Seth - please pass along my heartfelt condolences to your friends.

As for loosing weight, I say up your workouts to one hour every day (even weekends) - just be patient with yourself and know that if you slip, you can get right back on the next meal!

  2. I am really sorry about baby Seth. So tragic. Please let the parents know how saddened your friends are.

Losing weight...hmmm...I pretty much quit drinking beer...that stuff blows me up bigger than a 50 cent balloon...doubt you have a beer drinking issue tho ;)

  3. Hmmmm.... pretty sure if you only eat one meal a day and exercise 3 hours a day 7 days a week that weight loss can be achieved, but just be sure not to eat any candy :)

  4. Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred! It works because it's quick, you never rest, and you alternate cardio, strength and ab training. Plus, it utilizes plio-training (jumping moves) that confuse your muscles and prevent that fitness plateau where your muscles get used to the workout and don't burn as much fat.

  5. I found that not eating at all and being incredible stressed out can lead to massive weight loos.

Did that 4 years or so ago, and dropped 30 pounds in a month.

Of course, you're happy and all, so this plan might not work for you.

  6. If you figure out how to do that, without using that plan Rebecca mentioned, let me know! That's my birthday and losing 10 lbs. would be great!

  7. Momma - I'll let her know. And thanks for the tips.

Efen - I will pass along your sentiments. Thanks. I do have a wine drinking issue - could stand to ditch that.

Ron - :-) I'm not much on the candy anyway. LOL.

Rebecca - I'm a lazy one here. I hear cardio and my eyes glaze over. LOL. I'll look into it.

Tiff - I've done that stress diet before!

Kenju - that's our anniversary. I'm thinking of the 2 bowls of Special K a day (supposedly can lose 6 lbs in 2 weeks...that would only leave me with 4 I'd need to starve off!).

  8. When I met my husband I was obsessed with low-fat/fat-free/etc. foods. I stopped eating fake shit, and I lost weight. I still need to be consistent w/exercise though!!!

  9. So sorry about little Seth. May the family find comfort in knowing they did everything they could and the Lord took his angel home.

  11. Gigi - I've always been suspicious about food substitutes, guess I just need to stick with portion control and exercise.

    Inanna - thanks, girl.

Ginger - by Thursday, I'll be confused about garbage pick-up (on Monday holiday weeks, it's always a day behind). LOL.

  12. You have kids. Lots of kid food around. That's gotta be tough.

Of course, if you're hungover every morning, that makes it harder to choke anything down.

    Worth a shot.

  13. Speedwalking, which is hard to do with toddlers. I used to speedwalk a mile in the morning (from apt to work) and a mile back home in the evening. Didn't change my diet, but I lost 21 pounds in 21 days. As you can tell, it's been a while since I speed did anything much less walked.

  14. I have let Curves lapse for the last two weeks. Back to it today. I've only lost about 6 pounds since April, but the inches sure have come off!

Now that David's trucking OTR, I'm going to modify my diet to lean heavily on raw foods. I'm not going vegetarian, but I'm going to cut back the read meat and even poultry, and up the seafood, AND really get heavy with the fresh and uncooked or only slightly steamed veggies! I'm optimistic that will help the pounds come off.
