Baby Needs a New Pair of Shoes (or two)

Okay, I am hopeless. I love shoes, but being the simple person I am, I deal with only one or two pairs of shoes for myself - depending on the season. I only have one pair of winter shoe and two pairs of Summer sandals.

I'm low maintenance.

But, my baby girl... She needs some cute shoes year round!

My family LOVES the Crocs. I, personally do not - I have a very narrow foot. And Crocs tend to be wide at the end.

But, we're hitting Disney World in early May and my daughter loves the mouse, so I couldn't resist on these Crocs:

Then, she saw these:

The Princess Crocs.

She HAS to have these. I don't really give a crap. I bought them for her.

There ya go. My weekend was spent doing nothing and yet, ordering shoes for my Sissy. That's it.

Pathetic.

  1. it is a glamorous life we lead isn't it! I'm with you on the crocs though... not for me... and not for the kid since I can still choose!

  3. I am ashamed to admit that I do own a pair of crocs. But I only wear them camping. They're actually quite comfortable and wear well in the camp environment. It's important to have footwear that you can hose down when you get home.

  4. I can't wear the adult $30 crocs; my toes cramp up at the end.

The $5 Dollar Store crocs knock-offs tho are grand!

  5. crocs huh ?
i am a one pair at a time girl and when the kids were little they usually only had one or two good pairs as well- we are not a croc family it seems..........

  6. I've got a pair of crocs for camping, but my friends always make fun of the Princess on them.

  7. I love wearing croc type shoes, but crocs are too wide for me, too. I found Bare Traps (in Myrtle Beach and also at TJMaxx) and they fit my feet perfectly. I said I'd never wear them, but they are so darn comfortable I could walk all day in them and my feet wouldn't hurt (nor would my back, as they absorb all stress from heavy footfalls).

  8. I secretly want to get a pair of crocs. At the very least for gardening. But my BF makes so much fun of this croc-family we know, I'm scared of the backlash. :)

Those are adorable, clearly Sissy will need them for Dinseyworld! Clearly!

  9. Don't feel bad, we painted a bedroom. *Yawn*
The crocs are cute - we have a bazillion pairs (apparently NOT low maintenence) because my mom gets a big fat discount where she works.
Now you need to go straight to eBay and get her two little rhinestone jibbitz to go in those princess crocs. Every princess needs some bling!

  10. LL - they are cute and everyone else in the fam says they are really comfortable!

    Natalie - They are cute!

Crazy Mo - That's what I like about the ones my kids wear - they can be hosed off.

Juanuchis - We call those "Croc-offs". It's all good.

Lisa - I was the same with my son (one pair at a time), but I can't resist on the girl styles! :-)

Ron - They don't make the princess ones in your size, so I'm on to you!

kenju - the shoes I like best are the over $100/pair Naots. Those sandals are super comfy! :-)

Vinomom - You can buy a pair and hide them in your closet! :-)

The Girl - Thanks! I needed that this morning!

MsPulp - I looked at some of the jibbitz on the website, but wondered if they rub on the inside?

  11. I have a pair of off-brand crocs I bought once on vaca when my feet were killing me and craved new comfort. Not only do they not have the air-venty holes (which it turns out are necessary after all) but they have flowers painted on them. I quit wearing them because they were like little foot-sized ovens and old ladies would stop me to find out where I found the flowered crocs. My niece refused to be seen in public with me if I wore them again. Sissy's crocs are grand. Vent holes are a must.

  12. Seriously. My croc-offs are on fashion par with Jed Clampett's fancy dress painted tie.

  13. For waht it's worth, my pediatric orthopedic friend says crocs are really, really good for little feet. In fat, he ways he has quit giving kids The Boot when they have a foot injury, and instead tells them to wear crocs for 2 weeks.
So at least Sissy likes shoes that are good for her little feet!!!

  14. There's something about Croc's that just annoy the crap outta me. Don't know exactly what it is though.

  15. Crocs for girls and little kids=OK

Crocs for guys= NOT ok ;)

  16. Those are cute!!! Just be careful -- I have a friend who works in a hospital ER who said he sees a lot of injuries because these shoes don't offer the same sort of protection as regular tennies or other closed-toe shoes. (Especially with things like escalators.)

  17. I love me some crocs too...and I am un-bothered by all of the jokes regarding my masculinity! I am out of the croc closet and free!

Poor thing, sorry you can't wear them...your life will never truly be complete you know...

  18. There are many, many shoes in my closet. Non of them are croc's. My God-kids and little nieces love them though, and they are cute in the tiny sizes.

  19. I have a hard time finding shoes for me that I like but I am constantly finding shoes for my Syd. She LOVES shoes. She gets it from her Mimi. So, I am always on the look out for shoes. But she isn't a croc girl, however those are ADORABLE!! Hard to say no to Sissy huh??

    Just sayin'...

  21. I lOVE Crocs. I have a pair that I wear in the summer. They are great for washing the car and other misc chores around the house. Sissy will ROCK those things!

  25. Personally, I do not care for Crocs. However, for the past 3 years I have shelled out $30 for a pair for StellaDella in the summer. The.best.shoes.evah!

  26. Those are cute even though I don't like Crocs. Her feet will be cool!

  27. Not pathetic. My family loves the Crocs, too. Saved my life in Disney. We were on our feet for 17 hours one day and I was still dancing back to the room. SOOOOOOO worth it. There are even cute styles now. I like the Capri.

  28. I don't own any crocs. My boss loves them though.

  30. Awesome new additions for Sissy! I know that I've told you this before but I just can't wrap my head around only a few pairs of shoes. I have so many pairs of shoes and I'm sure that there are many more that need a good home. I do have to admit, I have a pair of light pink crocs that are amazingly comfy.
