Title

Bah! I couldn't come up with a title. We did not have crock pot Sunday because it was Valentine's Day. We thought we needed something more specialer for such a special day (even though we are as far from the romantic types you'll ever know). We went to a Mexican restaurant and then went by the Mart of Wal, because apparently, Sunday was the only day it hasn't snowed in a while.

In fact, I don't think it's ever going to stop snowing completely. The school kids had to go in today to make up for the snow days they've had. I'm glad I didn't make our vacation reservations until August because the kids may be making up days until then!

Lately, the snow showers have been just enough to be irritating and unpredictable. If I read the weather forecast, they always make it sound like it's going to be worse than it turns out, so I worry about getting out.

Like I said, irritating! Stuck inside all day with the cartoon channels on. If I hear the Kidz Bop commercial one more time, I may just snap.

It was a nice weekend though. I managed to get our taxes finished and filed (woohoo!), and I've been gathering the needed materials to enroll Sissy in preschool for the Fall of 2010. Once she is in school, the TV will never be on during the day and all the golden silence will be mine again!

All that golden silence in which I can enjoy scrubbing the house from top to bottom. Speaking of that, the Evil Twin is off today for Presidents' Day, so I'll actually be able to throw in a load of laundry without my little shadow trailing me constantly!

  1. We got more snow, too. I like it all right, but I after a few days I like to be able to come and go without getting all wet and snowy, so I won't be sad when (if) it melts.

  2. The weather people get on my nerves. I mean I don't mind them reporting and even advising what to do, but some of them seem to get a stiffy by trying to incite a panic. I mean we might get 6-8 inches of snow, OK prepare, but we've done it before and we'll do it again so no screaming or melodrama on the news please....

  3. Luckily we haven't had any bad weather days here to have to make up for.

Unfortunately, our school district has cut most of these kind of holidays so my kids are in school. I would have kind of liked to stay home and maybe get at least one thing done today.

  4. Today your big shadow can follow you. I hate to admit it, but I tend to follow my wife around the house as she does the things she does...sh prefers her silence too!

  6. I know what you mean about the background noise of the television. I get so tired of having the constant chatter all the time! Sometimes I just want PEACE AND QUIET!

  7. We had snow on the ground when I got up this morning. Light fluffy snow though and I didn't even have to brush it off the car cause as I drove it all blew off. That's the kind of snow I prefer.
