Little Known Fact

Many people are not aware that not only is today Veteran's Day, it's also "Service a Soldier (or Veteran) in a Sexual Manner" Day, too.

I already did my patriotic duty this morning, so I'm golden.

The Evil Twin served his four and four in the Air Force: (that's four years of active duty and four years of inactive duty).

Both of my dads (my dad who raised me and my biological dad) served in the Army.

I do love a man in uniform. The ladies, too! The Evil Twin's ex is still serving - she is way up in the ranks and she looks adorable in her uniform. She looks adorable in a sundress, too, but she just has the perfect body for all clothing items.

Buddy, Sissy and the Evil Twin all have the day off from school/work respectively. They can all hang around and do whatever. I have to go to Mr. Ds house eventually for cleaning duties, but I don't mind. It's a beautiful day out, so I'll get out of the house for a bit and keep Mr. D company, too. I always enjoy our conversations.

Have a lovely Thursday, hooligans and keep our military men and women in your good thoughts. :-)

Love,

  2. First thing in the morning how can you? I'm completely useless until midday and then it's all downhill from then on in.

I suppose the soldiers and vets stand to attention, but do they salute?

  3. Um...I am having lunch with my dad. That is my service to a Vet. Most of the restaurants around here are doing free lunch/dinner for Vets.

  4. Um, what do I do if all the vets I know have spouses? Do I have to pick a random soldier to service? My ex is suddenly single and also a vet but I'm pretty sure I did my duty by him while we were still married.

  6. Good policy!

My wife was thinking about going ROTC. I might throw her a bang tonight because it's the thought that counts.

    God bless our Vets!

  7. Well if someone would have told me about this part of the holiday I would have enlisted...

  8. Thanks to two marriages I consider myself a veteran of combat, does that count? Apparently it doesn't, or at least didn't yesterday. :-(

I don't mean to disrespect real veteran's, I'm thankful for all they and their families have, and continue to sacrafice for our freedoms.

  9. I guess that would be 'veterans' and 'sacrifice'. Should proof read BEFORE submitting.
