Ugh!

I do not, nor will I ever regret my decision to have the hysterectomy, but typical for me, things have not gone "the usual way". Something about me - my internal sensors or something - usually means something will be amiss.

That's just my MO. I have one incision spot (the one at the belly button location) that isn't looking so hot. The other three are healing up nicely. When I called my OB/GYN to let them know of the oozing, they prescribed an antibiotic and told me to clean it with hydrogen peroxide, which I have been doing. At least twice a day when I change the bandages.

So many of my shirts had belly button location blood spots, I've resorted to the big bandages. Which seem helpful. I guess.

I see my regular family physician tomorrow for a routine follow up exam, so I think I'll let him scope it out and get his advice. If necessary, I'll call my OBs office back and make an early than expected appointment for the post surgery follow up exam.

I'm sure everything is fine, but my goodness! When will I have a day where I take Sissy to preschool, drop her off, return home and get some things done around the house? So far this year, I have not had ONE day where she was in preschool and I didn't have anything else on the burner.

I know time will fly and next year will be better - with her in school all day for Kindergarten, but it will still be a challenge, time wise.

Tomorrow, I have more ranting and raving to do. I am astounded by stupidity on all sides of me! How do people even get along in life??

The up side is it gives me stuff to write about! :-)

Happy Wednesday, hooligans (Wednesday of the longest week EVAH!)

  2. Sorry to hear about the oozing...but I like to remind myself that ALL bad experiences make for good blog fodder if you can find something funny about it or a silver lining!
