Three For Tuesday!

Last week, I was tagged by Paige of Starting All Over Again for a meme. It calls for one to list seven things about themselves and then tag seven others. You all know me. You know I won't tag, but I do love to share my sordid tidbits of my life with you all!

Plus, I enjoy random:

1. I have had whole (vitamin D) milk my whole life. I refuse to drink "murky water milk".

2. When I was pregnant with Buddy, I craved anything pickled (including pickled okra), black and green olives, salads and Mexican food. He loves ALL those things too. Oddly, I didn't eat any bleu cheese dressing for either pregnancy - because of the risk of listeria - but both of our kids LOVE bleu cheese.

3. I love white bread, but I buy 100% Whole Wheat and my children have never had any other kind, so they love the brown bread. Sometimes, I'm tempted to buy a loaf of white just for myself, but I know it would go bad before I could eat it all.

4. For the first time in my life, I am worried about the future of our country and I am scared. I try to remain positive, but things aren't looking so hot right now.

5. I love watching zit, boil and abscess draining videos on YouTube and Popthatzit.com. I don't know why it doesn't gross me out, but it just doesn't. It's like a train wreck and I can't look away. Some of them even cause me to laugh so hard, I have tears coming out of my eyes. I can also deal with puke and boogers okay, but present blood or a loose tooth and I'll run screaming into a different room. The Evil Twin is in charge of all tooth removal endeavors.

6. The Evil Twin and I never went on even one formal date. We met, we clicked and then we were living together for a year and half before we got married. We'll celebrate 16 years of marriage (almost 18 yrs together) this October.

7. Secretly, all my life, I wanted to be a stay at home mom. I went to college and earned a Bachelor's degree because my parents would have disowned me if I hadn't. I still feel a little guilty that I don't actually use that education - well, I do, but I don't make money from it.

I also received an award from Supah~D at Adventures of a Wanna Be Supah Mommy:

How awesome is that? Very! Thanks, Supah~D! :-)

And my third gift to you on this glorious Tuesday is this YouTube video. It is not gross - no pus or anything of that nature, but it is also not safe for work or around children. It's just good, old, silly humor:

Seriously, watch the whole thing. This dude is soooo dorky, it's worth it.

  1. #4. I'm with you. But you know why Jimmy Carter is smiling again? Cuz finally he's no longer our country's worst President.

  2. Congratulations on 16 years of (cough cough) wedded bliss. Loved the tidbits, zits are gross and it gives me full body shivers seeing them being popped and drained. Yuk! Lactose intolerance keeps me from drinking whole milk but I do cook with it. Love what you do. I was being a bit sarcastic about the pants and navel jewelry. I always like to throw things out for affect.

  5. Oh my! I *knew* there was a reason I liked you *giggle*

#3? My son (13) will not eat white bread because it is so foreign to him.

#4? Terrified would be my choice of words.

#7? I'd have been a farm wife with a house full of home-schooled kids and without a student loan that I am still paying for.

  6. So we're only good at cooking, cleaning, and vaginas?

I'm outta here, I gotta go have sex with...a lotta girls...

Too funny! Thanks ETW, this made my day!

  7. I'm with you on the zit thing. Toe-curlingly gross, but fascinating!

  8. I'd love to be a stay-at-home mom too! Well, except for the Mom part...but being a S-A-H-Dad sounds great to me. My wife had no interest in staying at home though...pretty funny I suppose

  9. Can't wait to go home and watch that video! You make my day, ETW!

  10. Doh! Even seeing a zit, on anybody, thats ready to blow, just makes me heave uncontrollably.
    There's U-tube vids about it?
    Gross!

I only like crusty white bread, with real butter!
    That's like desert for me.

I'm glad you're a SAM, your kids need you, and you're there. Perfect : D

  11. #5..seriously?? OMG I think I might puke just thinking about it! Then we would have a whole differnt mess on our hands, one of which you couldn't handle, lol!

Dont' forget, 18 years and two wonerful children to boot..not so bad for not having ever gone on a formal date!

  12. Just don't mistake the pus for the blue cheese!

I seldom eat white bread but sometimes, especially for things like grilled cheese, only white bread is really satisfying.

  13. Paul - ROFL, but for me, it's more than that...it's how uptight both sides seem to be right now.

Shiny Rod - Sometimes, the milk makes me sick too, but I take my chances (and stick close to home!).

Gigi - I'm glad it worked out for both of us!

Kenju - it's the end that really cracks me up!

Dana - I'm afraid my kids would like it TOO much, so I keep buying the whole wheat.

Debra Sue - I think it's in the delivery and his dorkiness that kill me!

Tiff - I know I'm not the only one! Those videos get loads of hits!

Warren - It's not for everyone, but it is how I was raised and I couldn't imagine anything different.

The Dish - It's hilarious! Enjoy!

Powdergirl - I'm all about the carbs and big crusty rolls with butter are like dessert for me too!

Chandra - I can handle the puke.

Barry - You got that right! Grilled cheese NEEDS white bread (french toast too!)

  14. I love reading little things about my blogger friends. I agree with you on everything except the zit thing. Oh my! Loved the video, too!

  15. You can cope with vomit?? Ewwwww no way! I can do blood, guts and severed limbs...but never vomit. The Lil P's are on their own if they (thankfully very rarely) throw up!
    Yes I am a marvelous Mum - can't you tell? ;o)

  17. It's funny. I can't really tell the difference between white and brown bread anymore. Brown use to be harder but now they are all soft and yummy.

OH and zit drainage. AARRGGGGG! Yuck.

  18. I can give good sex to you, cuz I'm really good at sex. THANK YOU for sharing this!

  20. JFab - That video more than makes up for mentioning zits, huh?

Penelope - I think I win Worst Mom - I can't even LOOK at a loose tooth! GAG!

Ron - Oh, you know how it's all so intertwined....

Christine - Yep, even the 100% Whole Wheat bread is soft and yummy. I'd still prefer white, but oh well...

    Ginger - Enjoy! Hee hee.

Michelle - I know! Revolting, but funny. :-)

  21. I love murky water milk! But I'm with you on *almost* everything else...perhaps if it came down to it, we would compromise with 2% :)

ETW, Just dropped in to say HI, as Cute~Ella suggested in her guest post on The Girl's blog. I've looked in every once-in-a-while, since getting to know The Girl, like your take on things too. BTW, I saw your crew cut pic the other day, you pulled that look off well. J.

  26. That guy is hilarious, and his dance moves prove just how good he is at the sex. Too funny!!!!

I can't handle loose teeth either. I swear I can hear the squeaking as if it were my own tooth hanging by a couple threads.

Thanks for stopping by the other day, girl. Cool blog you've got here.
