Sometimes It's Hard to be a Woman

I feel like I work 24/7. I'm always doing something that segues into something else and then another disaster beckons.

Sissy only took one nap today and was unbearable by bathtime this evening. Buddy had a nosebleed in the middle of the night last night on his "favorite sheets and pillow case", so guess who's spot cleaning blood and unmaking and remaking a bed?

I had to schedule bills to be paid today - I do most of my stuff online, so I can keep track of it easier (and save on stamps! Y'all know how cheap I am). 2 loads of laundry and a load of dishes later, scrubbing the grout on my bathroom floor and trying to find paperwork to close out an account..... These are a few of my favorite things. LOL.

You know it's bad when your lists start sprouting lists.

Well, I do plan on knocking work off early this evening (like right now), hitting the Chardonnay and trying to not think of the millions of things I could/should be doing. Tomorrow is another day, right?

  1. I can almost relate except for the being a woman, having kids, doing dishes and the laundry part.

  2. I should be doing laundry, but decided I didnt want to and just bought some new clothes instead. See how lazy I am :)

  4. OMG, Ron, I have totally bought clothes instead of doing laundry before. It's my secret shame.

Lists can be daunting. I look around my house and the thoughts of writing all the needs doing on a list alone wear me out.

Hopefully tomorrow is a better day. Enjoy the relax time.

  5. My dearly beloved told me once that I should "work out a 10hr day". I looked at him, jaw aslack, and said "fine, I will"
Then someone threw up on their pillow at like 3am.
I said "oh surry,, I'm "off"". LOL

  7. I don't know how you do it all.

There's no escape or down time for a SAHM. I really admire all that you get accomplished in a day, how well your family does, how organized you all are. And frugality! I may love you a little.

    Not in a creepy way.

Also, I think you should be cloned.

  8. I commend you on all your hard work. Amazing how you never really get caught up...such a vicious cycle. Take it from me, even when the kids are grown...doesn't get a whole lot easier, but at least now I find it easier to "postpone" many things. Life is short - so don't be shortchanged.
