My Busy Weekend

It starts today. Here in a few minutes, the Evil Twin and I (along with Sissy)will make the trek to the home improvement store for paint and supplies.

He is downstairs taking inventory of what we need.

I also ordered a closet organization system for Sissy's closet. That is due to arrive by tomorrow at the latest. I HAVE to tell you more about that when I have more time - it's awesome....I'll try to get some before/after video and pictures.

So, if any one is sitting around, wondering what you'll be doing this weekend - and you live close to us, swing on by and help, won't you? Hooch and food will be on us. :-)

I won't have time to visit blogs until later today. Sorry! But, I will get around to it eventually.

  5. If I lived near you, I'd help and probably wouldn't need hooch to do it! Good luck. I hope your new closet system is better than the ones we had installed about 17 years ago.

  6. I planned to paint our whole house this summer. Never happened! If only I were as industrious as you! (Or maybe if Jeremy would help out!)

I don't live far, but I am totally stuck w/o a vehicle while he's at work. :( Sorry!

  9. My help would only leave things looking as if Sissy did all the work ;)

On the awesomeness of closet organizers (which are indeed awesome in many ways) don't store anything breakable on the top shelves no matter how many pounds the instructions say that puppy can hold. My sister bought a top-o-the-line one for her daughter's room. Because it was so strong, she felt comfortable storing some antique Japanese china loving wrapped in protective stuff in a nice sturdy box on the top. Worked great for six or seven years. Then one day *boom, crash, slam, sound of glass breaking* the system failed in such a way that the china was all crushed. She had antique Japanese china smithereens and quite a mess to clean.
