My Favorite Season

And, no, I'm not talking about Fall. I'm talking 'bout "Survivor" is back on! I don't know what it is about that show, but I am full on addicted to it. Seeing as how I really don't watch much TV, I don't feel bad about loving a reality show. I know they get a bum rap.

But Survivor is nothing like the smarmy "Bachelor" or "Flava of Love" or whatever it's called.

Survivor puts a number of very different individuals in a remote location with nothing and it's a lesson in sociology for me. I enjoy seeing the way different personalities will either get along or not.

Plus, they have to be thinking ahead in order to not be on the chopping block each week, and be physically strong enough for most of the challenges - as some of the challenges are definitely more reliant on a player's mental acuity than their brawn.

One question: Are there alligators in Samoa? If so, there is already one guy I would like to see eaten by one.

I'm sure if you're watching you know exactly who it is. This lying sleazeball walks around in his dirty drawers and you can clearly see the outline of his tiny jingling junk. Ick!

Come to think of it, perhaps even an alligator has standards and he would fall so far below that! LOL.

So, YAY! Survivor.

Don't call my house at 8pm on Thursdays for a bit. :-)

Hope you hooligans have a great weekend!

  1. Nope, no alligators in Samoa. But there are some mean looking Samoans. Considering 99% of the islands are Christians, they will most likely just pray he goes away.

  5. I can't remember what it is we watch that's opposite "Survivor," but now I wanna see a clip of Mr. Dirty Drawers and his tiny dangling junk. You tease us so! Sunday, Season 4 of Dexter. I cannot wait. John Lithgow is the evil nemesis serial killer this time and they're bringing back Keith Carradine from Season 2. I'll be dropping off Season 3 as soon as we get it. You might want to check to see if Showtime is smart enough to have a free weekend this weekend so Dexter can get bigger ratings.

  6. I've never seen this show so maybe you can straighten me out if I am wrong. It seems to me they "encourage" people on these types of reality shows to be confrontational or provocative in some manner. Which means you are not seeing "real" actions and/or emotions, and least not 100%, which is the reason I don't watch. If it was a true "reality" show then the participants should be themselves totally, and not "encouraged" to pursue an action or emotion that they might not otherwise. So I don't watch, if they are going to promote it as reality then I want to know that it is 100% reality. If that makes sense.

    Have a great weekend!

  9. He's the guy everyone loves to hate!! I can't wait until he is voted off - but I bet that CBS wants him to stay on, since he means people will be watching to see what he will say and do next.

  10. You and my sister would get along so good. I'm forbidden to call her, come over, or ask her to do anything on a Thursday night :)

  13. I love TV. I never understood why people maligned it so much.

  14. I don't know why I haven't watched that the past few seasons. I think because I forget to record it. UGH.. I need to start while it's new in the season!

  16. I watched the first two sessions of surviver and then lost the series. I saw that it was on demand so maybe I will catch up on the new episodes. It really is a fun show.

  18. Tiny jingling junk! Ha!
I noticed that in next week's previews he has on some swim trunks. Looks like everyone else was tired of seeing him in his drawers.

Missing a tooth and some serious crazy eyes - that guy's just creepy.

  19. I used to watch Big Brother for the same reasons, the sociology experiment. That was until they started putting people in with obvious and serious personality disorders and it was just trash tv.
