Mrs. Chatsworth

That's what we've been calling Sissy lately. Every night, she gets put in her crib by Daddy and then proceeds to just ramble. We can hear her on the monitor. She talks about all kinds of things.

This usually goes on until The Evil Twin goes back to "check on her", straighten her covers and tell her it's time for bed, seriously!

I'm killing time (ha ha) until Dexter comes on at 10 pm. I watched the pilot on the computer and it looks really great. I loved the main character in Six Feet Under, although the Evil Twin and I only rented the first season on DVD and then never did pick up the 2nd season.

We're totally eating too much fast food these days, but we can't help ourselves. At this rate, I'll be bigger at 40 than ever before, but lawsy knows I love to eat.

Anyhoo, on his way to the local fast food joint, the Evil Twin called me to alert me to look outside. It had been drizzling rain all day today and there was the most beautiful rainbow in the sky.

This picture doesn't really do it justice, but this is an idea of the view off my front porch at about 5:30 this evening. It was really something.

  1. What a great picture of a rainbow! I'll bet Sissy sounds so cute jabbering away over the monitor. They're so precious at her age. Hope you guys enjoyed Dexter.

On the food, if it's any consolation, I've had no appetite lately and I think I've gained some more. Yeh, I'm wearing a big old happy hat about it too.

  2. My younger niece used to always say that she wasnt tired her body was just tired. She would just babble on fighting sleep.

  3. I gave up fast food for Lent last year...

...and lost 17 pounds. Sadly, I found it all within two months!

I have a cold now. Here's hoping that the loss of appetite will work FOR me this time around!

  4. When my girls were little, we had a whole-house intercom system. I would sit in my den downstairs and listen to my girls jabber (each in their own rooms) for hours.

    Nice rainbow!

  5. 4 comments so far and nothing about Dexter? lol It's an awesome show. I loved both seasons of it and am keeping my fingers crossed for a third. Michael C. Hall is excellent and so is the rest of the supporting cast. Let me know when you start rooting for the bad guy!

  8. Yay rainbows! I love 'em.

I meant to watch Dexter, but didn't. The couch made me nap instead. Daggone it.

  9. What a purty rainbow!

Funny how fast food is so slow to leave the body. Like about 3 months at the gym.

  10. I LOVE RAINBOWS!!! Wasn't Dexter on Showtime last year. I haven't really watched it yet, but everyone is raving about the show. I'm pissed because my ultimate favorite "24" has been postponed till Jan. 2009. ARGH!!!!!

  11. Thanks for the visit! As to deaf people dancing? Back in the late 50's, my girlfriends and I had a group of deaf guys we hung out with one summer. They were terrific dancers! We used to go to Coal River (I think) and they could feel the rhythm of the music through their feet on the dance floor. It might amaze you to see what they could do!

  12. Dexter is originally on Showtime, just finished the 2nd season. They've cleaned it up to put on network TV. You're probably going to miss a lot watching on network. Rent the DVDs!
