Valentine's Day 2008

Same old stuff. Nothing exciting. Sissy has been a holy terror all day.

I was supposed to go help out in Buddy's class for their Valentine party, but Sissy got ahold of a blue highlighter pen and decided to highlight her lips, face and hands. With the help of some Oil of Olay and Vaseline, I was able to get most of it off. But only enough to make her acceptable to go to pick up (where she doesn't get out of the van).

I had bought the kids' each a heart with chocolates in it and one each for myself and the Evil Twin. Buddy came home with loads of candy from his class party, too.

We should have plenty to snack on for a few days.

It's been a long day and I'm still not "finished" with things I need to do.

I can't wait for this weekend - it's a long weekend for Buddy and the Evil Twin, so a whole extra day for family stuff!! Yay.

  1. LOL, on the highlighter. What no pictures? Have a happy Valentines day, well whats left of it.

  2. Happy Valentine's Day! I'm still willing to bet she was absolutely adorable with her little blue lips.

  3. AHA the Smurf stage!! Aren't kids the most amazing creative creatures. I tell my daughter NOT to get mad at her son - relish the creativity and originality.
...nothing lasts forever - enjoy the youth. Happy Belated Valentine's Day.

  4. You could have had a much better Valentine's Day if you'd have just used the Oil of Olay and Vaseline for something OTHER than removing highliter pen.

    Next time, now, you'll know.

  5. Wot? No pictures?

Jonathan did sort of the same thing right before my favorite aunt's 65th birthday party/family reunion. He found my deepest, darkest goth-girl lipstick and smeared it all over his body. It didn't come off. We went to the party and he looked like he had some kind of hideous skin condition. This is him AFTER Isaac started frantically wiping him off with baby wipes:

    Good times.

  6. When Nooze was Sisy's age, she got her hands on a Sharpie marker.

She used this gift to color her nails, color in her (outie) belly button, and give "freckles" to her cousin.

Do yourself a favor - hide the scissors.

    Those come next!
