Happy Monday. I Think.

We've had loads of rain here lately. At least the temperature is pleasant. I don't mind it if it's on the warm side.

We also have a very long and steep driveway. At the end of the driveway (it's a downward slope), we have a divot in the road to the left hand side - or right hand side if you're coming up the scary driveway LOL.

Anypoots, when it rains, that little divot fills up with water. It's a wee tiny pool of sorts. I enjoy watching all our little neighborhood birds swing by for a drink or a bath. They flap around in the water and it's adorable. I've been trying to get it on video, but I don't want my video stuff out in the rain (and, as I said, it's been raining a lot here).

I'm nothing if not persistent, so I will continue to stalk those little bathing birdies with my video camera at my side. At least it's a good show for Bella, who enjoys sitting by the full length screen door and keeping an eye on all the neighborhood wildlife. And, it distracts her from our indoor birds for a bit.

Bella is NOT an outside cat - she has no front claws, and she is also not allowed to harass our parakeets (if she gets caught), and they are rarely out of their cage - and she is in a different part of the house when they are.

No one will be snacking on any other family member around here. I just won't have it.

We're a weird family, but we're not the cotton pickin' Donner party over here.

I hope my hooligans all had a great weekend. Try to enjoy your won't last long! :-)

  1. I am envious...all we get here is the threat of rain...and who needs threats?

  2. Poor Bella what's a little nibble here and there between family???

  3. your birdie action sounds very relaxing and zen. maybe just a picture for now. no rain in my neck of the woods, blue skies and sunshine......
    loving it

  4. Well, we have to keep telling the baby not to bite the dog.

  5. I love that you have a rule that no one eats others in the family.

  6. That whole 'nobody eats other family members' rule. Um, yeah - my brain just went there. Wocka wocka!

Also - 'anypoots'? Totally stealing that one. Adorable.

  7. Joker - If I could send it your way, I would. Rainy days = no hammock for me cause it's all wet. Blech!

Ron - She gets plenty of practice biting my ankles every chance she can.

Lynda - It is really cute. They hop around flapping their wings. :-)

    A. - Well, at least she's not eating the dog food (yet - LOL).

RW - Every one in our home has a safe and happy life. :-)

Tiff - I said "snacking", not "eating". That would be a different (and totally confined to the 2 adults) type of thing.
