Well, after having the whole famn damily home since Thursday, everyone except Sissy and I dispersed to their required locations. Buddy is back at school, the Evil Twin is back at work and the house is pretty much all mine again.
Of course, that doesn't always work out the way I would like it. I woke up with zero motivation this morning. Had a partial cup of coffee (I'm strange when it comes to consuming liquid calories), lounged around a bit, then finally at 10 am, I decided I needed to get my lazy ass in the shower.
So, I set about my morning routine: making the beds prior to the shower. I get our bed made and Sissy wants something to drink. Go in kitchen and make her some lemonade, go back to finish making Sissy's bed, then Buddy's. Sissy needs me again. She's hungry. I get her a piece of bologna (yuck, but the kids love it)and go back to my room to prep for the shower.
I enter the bathroom, start the shower and weigh myself. 124. Ugh! How can I have been so sick w/ no appetite and still gain 3 lbs? I curse myself under my breath. Here comes Sissy....who lets herself in. She wants to know "how tall she is" (how much SHE weighs) and tells me also she is hungry again. I'm naked and cold and ready for the shower, so she has to wait.
By this time, it is 10:50 - remember I started at 10am? Oh, and also in between the bed making and food getting, I managed to scramble together a load of laundry, which I will deal with after I get ready.
I was interrupted once during my hair drying to be reminded that Sissy was still hungry (she had already had a cup of juice, a whole banana and the aforementioned bologna...I swear she has a hollow leg!).
Finally, at about 11:20, I am ready. I sit down, but then remember I need to do laundry. I got that started and then finished loading the dishwasher and got that going.
It's now nearly noon and I suppose that Sissy will want lunch. I've been so busy, I haven't even thought about food today. Looks like it will be another day of just dinner for me. Don't worry, though: I load up! :-)
I have a couple of memes I'll be working on for the next few days. We all know how fun those can be! Hee hee.
Well, we're going on viewing #3 of the first Toy Story movie. I really need to get a life.
My 6 year old is always hungry too! Apples, yogurt, bolobna, weiners, popcorn, etc. However, at supper time, she suddenly is full. No green beans, cole slaw, beef roast, steamed veggies, etc.
ReplyDeleteSAHMs are the greatest and have the most patience with kids. I salute all SAHMs!
...Al...
You have a life, silly. There's just a little person running around who needs a lot of things done for her.
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, I bet you're pretty efficient when it comes to those liquid calories that come from a box!
Toy Story was Big J's favorite for a very long time...
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that when we go to the bathroom...in any which fashion, we never lose weight? These are just some of the mysteries of life.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a pretty full and hectic life already...you want another one?
OMG 124. You suck! You are tall, too - so that means you are very slim, lucky ETW!!
ReplyDeleteI also think you have a life and it sounds wonderful! Sometimes when I'm having a totally NORMAL day I think to myself, this is one of my favorite days.
ReplyDeleteOne of my legs weighs 124. Not really, but you get my point. I had all the free time in the universe this last weekend and didn't clean. Guess what i get to do this evening?
ReplyDeleteI shall await the memes expectantly. LOL @ Sissy just tracking you down at all hours for food.
ReplyDeleteI just hope you keep blogging about being naked & getting ready for a shower... That's a helluva visual for a Monday morning. ;)
ReplyDeleteNow that sounds like a very productive morning. I swear I wonder where these kids put all the food. My youngest grandson is the same. I pray to have their metabolism.
ReplyDeleteI bet that Sissy is getting ready for a growth spurt!
ReplyDeleteFYI - I weighed 124 when I was TWELVE. If I weighed that now, I would be HOSPITALIZED. When you're sick, your body goes into starvation mode. The 'extra weight' is likely a bit of fluid retention. Give your body a few days to recover; you'll be back to 'normal' in no time.
That sounds like my Monday. I swear I got stuff done. You just can't tell it by looking around here.
ReplyDeleteI gained 8 pounds when I was in the hospital a coupla weeks ago. Go figure. I lost most of it, though, since thin--er, since then.
ReplyDeleteYou just reminded me why I go to work every day. That must be exhausting. And 124 ? That's skinny ! Eat and eat well my friend.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen either Toy Story movie in the their entirety. Maybe we'll see the third in the theater.
