A couple of weeks ago, 3Carnations hosted a give-away on her blog. The prize was 12 bags of freeze-dried fruit snacks from Funky Monkey snacks.
We got our package yesterday!
These are the four flavors they offer and we received three packages of each flavor. I let each child chose one to try first. Buddy chose the Purple Funk and Sissy chose the Bananamon.
They are both good - I particularly like the Purple Funk. It's got a good banana flavor and the acai berries add a grapey flavor with a bit of tartness. It's a great kick.
We haven't tried the Carnaval Mix or Jivealime yet, but we're all looking forward to it. They both sound great!
And, really, it couldn't have come at a better time. Buddy gave up chocolate for Lent and I gave up bread (and bread/baked items), so finding snacks we could enjoy was a tall order. These are perfect!
This is a super awesome prize and I am so lucky!
Okay, the Evil Twin just opened a bag of the Carnaval Mix and I tried it too. Excellent and he even said, "I have a new favorite snack - be sure to pack this in my lunch."
I'd like to thank 3Carnations and Funky Monkey Snacks for the cool give-away.
Check out BOTH sites. You won't be sorry!
they love you, they really love you! congrats on the win... the snacks sound awesome... I'm gonna have to check them out!
ReplyDeleteHey anything called Purple Funk has to be good. Just the name reminded me of Jimi Hendrix and "Purple Haze" and "Purple Rain" by Prince.
ReplyDeleteHey, how's the bread thing going Hausfrau? Like I told you at the beginning of Lent that's what I too gave up. Does this seem like an unsually long Lent already or is it just me???? I could murder a bagel.......
Steady On
Reggie Girl
Mmmmmmm.... sounds pretty good to me. Are the snacks made by Monkey's or made of Monkey's?
ReplyDeleteGlad Sissy didn't choose the purple funk....just in case her tummy isn't 100% LOL. Try getting THAT of the new bedsheets!
ReplyDeleteAre they like freeze dried fruit chips? Yummy! Congrats winner!
Glad you like them! Isn't that purple funk just the best? I'm so glad they sent you each flavor - It's fun to try them all! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!! They sound yummo!
ReplyDeleteYay! I loves me some heathly snack treats!
ReplyDeleteI need to get my butt back in the swing of things around here and do some kind of give-away or fun stuff.
Sounds yummy.
ReplyDeleteI take my biggest prettiest hat off to you because I could NEVER, EVER give up bread.....except for maybe world peace.
I can't imagine giving up baked things. That would make for a very long Lent. And a post-Lent rise in the waistline! lol
ReplyDeleteYou were a winner before you won those prizes!
ReplyDeleteGlad you all enjoyed them and I hope our littlest little one gets to feeling better really soon.
LL - It is very cool!
ReplyDeleteReggie - I just want one slice of pizza! But, I've been okay. No bread - no cheating!
Ron - 100% organic, so no Monkeys in the mix.:-)
K(arla) - and wouldn't you know...she's sick again this morning! And, yes, they are freeze dried fruit chips.
3C - We are looking forward to the Jivealime. Yum. :-)
Jen - they are yummo!
Catscratch - I know! I'm wanting to do one myself. :-)
Red - it's been okay, actually. I did this a few years back and made it.
Honeywine - I think last time I did it, I lost so much weight, I could stand the post Lent indulgence!
BB - There are still 8 bags left - stop by and try some!
Congrats on your win!
ReplyDeleteThey look jolly tasty :o)
I have never seen that brand of snacks. Where do you buy them?
ReplyDeleteFrom jizz rags to tasty snacks.
ReplyDeleteThis blogs got it all ! ; )
I bet Apple would like it, too! My birds always loved dried fruit.
ReplyDeletePenelope - they are tasty!
ReplyDeleteKenju - I've never seen them at a store around here - I think you can order them online?
powdergirl - I try to keep it varied and random. Keep y'all guessing!
Blair - He probably would, if he was normal... but he's not real bright. LOL.
Cool! Congrats :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer my own cooking.
ReplyDeleteThose are awesome! I buy them from a co-op catalog. Violet loves them.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to look for those. I love banana chips, and so do my kids -- they always steal them out of my trail mix. :P
ReplyDeleteLime + banana, though... Hmmmm... I'll have to think about that one.
