Ugh. I have a busy week coming up. This past weekend was decent, though.
Last week, I think Tuesday, Buddy was in his room when his ceiling fan/light zapped out. I figured it was the bulbs, but since it had a glass covering, I just waited til the Evil Twin got home to replace them. He did and it still didn't work.
So, I wondered if the fixture itself had just blown or if the wiring was bad or ????
We had the fan installed last summer when we were doing all our other remodeling and we were never really happy with it. It just didn't give out enough light. So, I figured I'd just go to Lowe's and buy a new (different) fan/light and have our electrician come install it.
I called him on Friday, but he didn't call back until Saturday morning, which was fine. Also, on Friday evening, I was having some trouble checking some of the blogs I like to read. I kept getting an Internet Explorer error message.
Saturday morning, I downloaded and installed Firefox. What was I waiting on??? I love it! Of course, when it imported my bookmarked stuff from IE, it rearranged all my stuff, so I'm out of whack as far as my routine. If I miss your blog for a day or two, you can just chalk it up to my list is out of order, but I'll get it back together soon.
After the electrician left, we had some errands to run. The Evil Twin really loves these peas (I guess they're fried or something). Green peas that he can only find at the Capitol Market. He doesn't like the wasabi peas - just the plain ones. So, we went out - had dinner at a Mexican restaurant and hit the Market. It was nice.
Buddy's new ceiling fan looks so great in his room that I want one in our room too! I think we'll buy one just like his for our room and get a white one for Sissy's room.
Buddy has a dentist appointment this afternoon, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, I have to pick up a prescription from Kroger, and my van still needs to be inspected. So, I'm off to get a shower and try to get as many things squeezed in to today as possible!
Whew!
Fried peas? Fits with my theory that if you fry anything it will taste much better :) Good luck with all the appointments, remember to take some time to smell the roses.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE ceiling fans. We have one in our bedroom and it's heaven.
ReplyDeleteI bought one back in DECEMBER for our dining room to replace a yucky old chandelier. it's STILL in the box in the gragage.
Harumph.
DH says we need a box of some sort in the ceiling to support it. What is he WAITING FOR!?
I love seom pea-loke things that look like the whole pea pod and are sort of fried - are those the same things? Crunchy and crispy - pretty good. Or are ET's like little round peas?
I thought it was a rule of man-dom that you had to like wasabi peas.
ReplyDeleteHrmph. One less thing we can torture them with, I guess.
Good luck with all your things to do. I know how it is when all the things you need to do start piling up, and its not even mid-week. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm WHEW! on the errands, too! Sometimes that consumes my entire day!
ReplyDeleteRon - it would have been better if I had accomplished more than one thing today...
ReplyDeleteK - I also love ceiling fans. The peas the ET likes are just little green peas. They're freeze dried or fried or something to make them cruncy, then they get salted.
Tiff - I know! But, he doesn't like the wasabi ones.... (maybe he's a closet metrosexual LOL).
Gigi - I know, it's bad when Monday looks insane.
T - Today wasn't great - tomorrow's not looking so hot either. Maybe by Wednesday, I'll lock myself in my room and refuse to come out. LOL.
First you make me think of Wintersilks by mentioning robes for summer. Then you tempted me with comfy yet stylish shoes. Now I want some of those damned peas!
ReplyDeleteYou're batting a three-blog run on the temptressing, you temptress.
BB - sorry, but you won't be if you order Naot's. I got my pair from Zappos today (the Rimini), then decided I'd rather have the Paris, so I called and my new shoes will be here tomorrow and all I have to do is drop this package at a UPS place (free shipping both ways!).
ReplyDeleteDamn. Now I have to go to Capitol Market just so I can try some of those peas! mmmmmm. peeeeaaas.
ReplyDeleteWow you are busy. Where is your peas? Get it "peas" sounds like... Too much? ;)
ReplyDeleteYou know peas are packed with happy. Seriously. Something in them that depressed folks need more of. Peasssssssssssss.
