Aaaaand it started snowing yesterday evening. I didn't think it would stick, but it did.
I woke up early this morning (as usual, since my sinuses, the coughing fits and a certain four legged fur ball tend to rouse me early) and shortly thereafter, I got the autobot call from the county that our county had a two hour delay. Most of the counties around us did too and a few in more rural areas were closed altogether.
This is really the most snow we've had this year. I'm not pleased at all, but it's supposed to be 57 degrees tomorrow, so I think everything will melt and we'll move forward to Spring. I can't wait!
When the Evil Twin retires, I have my sights set on Orlando. You can take the girl out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the girl.
I'm like Jim Morrison, only I'm the Lizard Queen. And, I'm female. And not a druggie or a hippie, so yeah, only a tiny bit in name only. I'm pretty sure I'm cold blooded. Maybe that's why I like all my slithery and lizardy compadres so much.
I've already lost half a day to the "two hour delay" sitch and I have so much to do.
I'm going to do as much as I can, so I'm outta here. Hope all my hooligans have a better Monday than me. :-)
Love,
Well... this winter has been amazingly mild so no complaints here. I'm just hoping this doesn't mean we have a Summer that stays in the 120 degree mark...
ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely ready for the fireball to make the return to south central Texas. Snow in March is just not even an acceptable thought. Of course, a little snow in December would be a nice treat for Christmas once in a while.
ReplyDeleteOrlando has beautiful Chamber of Commerce whether almost every day of the year, but really, have you seen the traffic? I'd take snow over the ass-pain of that madness on a daily basis. Of course, once you retire, who needs to go anywhere in a hurry?
