More Shopping

I went to the Mart of Wal on Sunday, just so I could get through my weekly shopping by myself. It was crowded, as I suspected, but it really wasn't too bad getting through it.

I think I spent the longest time waiting at the deli counter (while I was standing behind the only couple in front of me, some woman just wrangled her cart right in front of me - UGH!) Whatever! I got fresh food that had just been cooked! She got the dregs of the last batch.... Karma?

And, I spent a while in line to check out, but overall, it wasn't a bad trip.

However, I'm in need of a few things I didn't think about on Sunday, so today, I'm going to mix it up a bit and head on up to Target. I like Target.

If I could just wake myself up and get in the shower, that would make things so much better! It's too cold to be out of bed!

Day two of wondering why the presents can't be opened NOW. Halp!! LOL.

Happy Tuesday!

  1. You might pay a little more at Target...but I think they have better quality stuff.

Isn't it the case at every Wal-Mart during the holiday season that they have 30 registers...and only 5 of them are actaully open. Drives me INSANE!

  2. Agreeing with Chandra... I refuse to shop at Wal-Mart. it's target for me... Plus the scenery (MILFS) are waaaay hotter at Target - so thats a bonus there.

  4. I REFUSE to shop at Wal-Mart. I hate that place. It makes me insanely homicidal. Even more than normal.

Meijer is the shit! I don't know what I would without that place. I love me some Target, but ours is not a Super. Wonder who I need to write to fix that?

  5. I like Target too, but I've never been to the one with groceries. It's too far off my beaten path.

Re your comment, I keep the cat's food and water bowls on a plastic tray, but she still managers to spill it off the tray and all over the floor.

  9. I have seen your comments on various sites (incl the "Girl") and read back a little on your blog. Anyway, I was reading about your (good) attempts to save money and I had a suggestion. Recently, I have configured my surge suppressors for the 2 flat screens and computers so that I can easily turn them completely off at night. The key is to put the router into the socket that is "Always on". Then when you turn off the switch on the suppressor, your phone still works but you save alot of energy cause flat screens draw a lot of current even when off. Computers, Monitors and printers ALL draw power, even when off. Every little bit helps.
ps If you already knew this my apologies ;>)

  10. Ha! I only dream of the day when we have a Super Target somewhere within, oh say, a 60 mile radius of my house. For now it is Walmart and, my preference, Publix. I go to Publix so often, that when we are out of something my 2 year old says, "we go to Pubix"? She leaves out the 'l'.

  11. I avoid Walmart like the plague unless something is on a really really big sale there. I have gone to Target during the holiday season, though, and it wasn't too bad.

I think the advent calendar for Sissy is a great idea.

  14. You know those crazy people that hate walmart with such a passion that they are outspoken about its crappy policies every time Wally World comes up in conversation? Yeah..that's me. Give your money to Target.

Walmart isn't helping with the economy crisis, just making it worse.

Climbing down from my soapbox now. :-)
